Using Foam Cups for Water Coolers

Using Foam Cups for Water Coolers
Water Dispensers

So you’ve made the choice to use a water cooler for your home or office! Not only are you ensuring easy access to hydration, you’re also contributing to the health of the people around you. But that’s not the only thing that you should be thinking about when you hire a water cooler for your space. What will your office guests, employees, or even visiting family members use to drink from it? You might think of using glasses or mugs, or even paper cups, as your go-to option, but don’t disregard Perth foam cups!

Using reusable glasses or mugs may be the best option in a home setting, as you know that you will be able to fully clean and sanitise for next use. But for an office space where people might not have the same hygienic practices, it’s a gamble reaching for a glass that has a 50-50 chance of having been properly washed. And if someone who’s got a cold, or is sick doesn’t fully clean their cup, chances are that the next person gets infected and you have an office full of people with compromised health. That’s not ideal for anyone.

Paper cups are, on the surface, a good idea. But their construction leaves much to be desired. In order for the paper to not disintegrate when water hits it, plastic coating is used so that liquid can be retained. It’s not as environmentally-friendly as you would think. Not only that, if you’re wanting to make coffee or tea in these types of cups, it’s risky business. Because the material is so thin, a lot of people tend to use two cups to prevent the hot liquid from burning their hands when they grab the cup, which means that there is more wastage. Some people use a handful of napkins to wrap around the paper cup, which is also a waste of resources. To prevent this issue, you could possibly invest in cardboard sleeves – but again, this is also immensely wasteful, unless employees actively recycle them.

As for foam cups? There’s a reason their use is so widespread in food service. The way that they are constructed ensures their temperature remains the same, so if you have an ice cold cup of water, it’ll remain ice cold, and if you have a steaming cup of tea, it’ll remain hot and soothing. Not only this, manufacturing foam products requires significantly less energy and water than paper cups, which means it’s not as wasteful.

We have foam cups for sale, so it’s a stress-free, no fuss experience getting your water delivered because you know you have clean, disposable cups that will come with it.

Dealt with Hayley through email who was efficient and friendly and Mary over the phone more recently to add more bottles to be delivered and she was easy to understand and prompt ! Love having good cold water in Perths summer heat and it’s made better when it’s so easy to access with their delivery service and the great customer service they provide.

When your daughter mentions that the water at Mummy's house is better than at Daddy's house you know your onto something good. If a 5yo can taste the difference in the water quality what's that say about what is coming out of our taps. Thanks for making the small changes I've made in our health easy. Delivery guy is always polite and happy to carry the bottles to where I store them. Staff, on the few times I've had to visit the Wangara office, are always polite. Really if you want to do something good for your family then Aussie Natural Spring Water is a no brainer. You won't regret the change.
